Toddlerhood

During the stage of a toddler between 1 and 3 years old there is significant growth physically, cognitively, and socio-emotionally. They begin to be more active, develop independence, and a sense of self. Many milestones take shape during this stage that signifies like langauage, motor skills, social skills, and emotional regulation. 

Milestones (milestones, 2023)

15 months - clapping when excited; hugs, cuddles, and kisses; shows affection to dolls or other toys that they enjoy.

18 months - puts hands out when they want them washed; tests boundaries by moving away and looking to see if that person is still nearby.

2 years - looks at faces for reactions; begins to notice other emotions or if they're hurt.
