Effect of Early Childhood Development & Care
Early childhood development and care have important and lasting impacts on a child's cognitive, social, and emotional development, along with their future health and well-being. All growth beginning in the prenatal stage are vital to the social and emotional growth which continue through infancy, toddlerhood, early childhood, middle childhood, and adolescence. Many different factors can cause a disruption in growth starting with prenatal difficulties such as poor nutrition, maternal stress/complications, toxin exposure, etc. According to Nugent & Bale (2015), the prenatal stage is vulnerable period of rapid tissue growth which can be affected by their environment. As a child advance through each stage their are different factors from environment, nutrition, physical activity, and language that impact social and emotional development to help meet milestones.
